You may then contact us within 30 days upon receipt and request revisions to the content of the document(s) to make sure all of your most important information is conveyed. If you still have not received an interview after 4-6 months we can discuss refining your content and how to improve your job search techniques. Some job seekers do not have a lot of competition and can obtain an interview within 1-2 months, but the national average to find a new job is 6 to 12 months; varies based on industry and job title.

Competitive Edge Resume Service will use their professional ability, in good faith, to create exceptional resumes and/or career marketing documents. We cannot guarantee interviews or jobs, since we do not control the effort a client will make in obtaining a job nor can we control the competition in obtaining a position (since sometimes a company promotes a current employee, hires an employee referral so they don’t consider any other resumes they received, or cancels the job ad since some employers will not fill positions which are advertised for various reasons).

How It Works

1. Contact us to setup your account. Pricing is based on your experience level by determining if you are an entry level (just starting out), professional (mid-career), or executive (C-level) job seeker.

2. Submit your information via our online questionnaire or e-mail/fax an existing resume that needs a rewrite. We can also obtain your information during a phone or in-person interview.

3. After your basic information is received, we will contact you to gather more information through a one-on-one phone consultation or in person (your choice). We will then review your information, research your targeted objective, analyze your individual situation, compile your documents, create your file type in Microsoft Word .doc or .docx (other files types are based upon request such as PDF, ASCII), and begin the resume writing process.

4. The entire resume project usually takes up to 5 business days but same day rush service is available depending on our schedule and does require a rush fee. You will receive a first draft for your review via email. If nothing needs to be changed, you can download the attachments and save the documents/files to your computer. The files you save are yours to keep and we also store your resume in our system to protect you from loss.

Conditions of Use

After you receive the first draft of your new resume, you are entitled to contact us if you feel your resume does not meet your career search needs within 30 days upon receipt so we may implement any necessary modifications to the content for you. Additional charges will apply if editing services or updates are requested after the 30-day editing time frame. All resume writing/editing services are non-refundable once services are retained, simply because once we are hired our staff is immediately working on your account to compile your documents and maintain contact with you. Because our services are rendered in a digital format, and can not be physically returned, you shall not be entitled to a complete refund for any reason. You agree to contact Competitive Edge Resume Service if you feel your resume is not satisfactory, utilizing the 30-day guarantee that we will work with you one-on-one to make any necessary corrections/revisions to the content of the document(s). Normal turnaround time is 5 business days from the personal interview, although based on the difference in size of each individual project, we do not guarantee a specific time of completion until we provide you with your estimated turnaround time.
